Vote for Porzingis to become an NBA All-Stars starter!

Take note – story published 8 years ago

New York Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis has a chance of becoming the first Latvian, and also the first-ever European rookie to be voted into an NBA All-stars game. LSM's Latvian-language service reported Friday on how you can help the Latvian hopeful to make basketball history.

Supporters can vote on the NBA website, on Google, in the NBA mobile app, as well as on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Every tweet or retweet including the name Kristaps Porzingis and the #NBAVOTE hashtag counts as a vote. A single account can vote for ten players a day but each tweet can only nominate a single player.

LSM suggests retweeting the entry of Latvian Television's Sporta Studija (Sports Studio) account.

To vote on Facebook, write an entry or comment with the name Kristaps Porzingis and the #NBAVOTE hashtag. Same rules apply as on Twitter. You're encouraged to comment on this entry of Sporta Studija.

To vote on Instagram, publish a photo with an #NBAVOTE hashtag and the name Kristaps Porzingis. Same rules apply as on Twitter/Facebook.

To vote on Google (registered users only), search for "NBA Vote All-Star" or "NBA Vote Knicks" and find Porzingis.

The voting will end on January 19 at 6:59 AM Latvian time. The All-Star starters will be revealed January 21 for the February 14 game in Toronto.

Porzingis himself voted for teammate Carmelo Anthony.

Despite its small population, Latvia is an online voting force to be reckoned with - Latvian 2015 NHL All-Star Zemgus Girgensons went as far as begging Latvian fans not to vote him into the All-Stars this time around.
