The government also compensated the Foreign Ministry for 3,500 euro to cover transport expenses to and from Ukraine for people injured during protests in Ukraine and their relatives.
The government also supported compensating the Welfare Ministry for covering 530 euro expenses for the Latvian Society of the Blind for technical aid provided to a person injured during the protests in Ukraine.
Altogether 20 persons injured in the protests in Ukraine have underwent treatment in Latvia from January 2014 until April 30, 2015.
Last year the government decided to cover the treatment costs of persons who have suffered in the protests in Ukraine. The money came from the resources allocated for unforeseen circumstances.
