The bear's friends and animal lovers are invited to attend the celebration at 2 PM at the Pauguri nature education center.
The bear will be treated to a special birthday cake made from salmon, nuts, honey and cottage cheese.
Her 'foster parent' Velga Vītola, an employee at the nature trails, will be handing her the cake.
After giving Ilzīte their birthday wishes, visitors are invited to go on a thematic walk, learning about the Līgatne Nature Trails and the latest improvements in infrastructure.
Ilzīte has starred in several documentaries and has been the subject of nature photographers' photo shoots.
The Līgatne Nature Trails are a significant object created to introduce people to the animal species living in Latvia, as well as the variety of the country's nature and the need to protect it. In 2015 the Nature Trails turned 40.
