Latvians rate ministers' performance

Latvians think that the Defense Minister and Finance Minister are the most helpful for the government, while the Education Minister and Justice Minister help the least.

In a survey carried out by SKDS pollster in September, 25.6% said that Defense Minister Raimonds Bergmanis (Greens and Farmers Union) was the most beneficial for the government. Another 24.3% picked Finance Minister Dana Reizniece-Ozola (Greens and Farmers Union), and 13.7% chose Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis (Unity).

A further 11.6% picked Dace Melbārde (National Alliance) and another 11.3% named Agriculture Minister Jānis Dūklavs as the minister most conducive to the success of the government.

While 21% named Education Minister Kārlis Šadurskis (Unity) as the least helpful. Another 14.3% chose Justice Minister Dzintars Rasnačs (National Alliance), 10.2% named Edgars Rinkēvičs (Unity), another 8.3% named Jānis Dūklavs, and 8% thought that Transport Minister Uldis Augulis (Greens and Farmers Union) is the least helpful for the operations of the government.

SKDS polled 1,002 respondents for the survey.
