Latvian wise guys to blitz Estonian mafia

Take note – story published 7 years ago

Entrepreneurs from the Baltic and beyond congregated in the Estonian capital Tallinn Tuesday for Latitude 59, the most well-known start-up event in the Baltic states, and home of the so-called 'Estonian mafia' who are major players on the global start-up scene.

Among them was a healthy contingent from Latvia led by the Startup Wise Guys who took the hours before the start of Latitude 59 as a chance to hone their pitching techniques to potential investors:

Also leading the Latvian charge is peer-to-peer lender Twino which was running a special start-up bus to help the businesses of the future get from Riga to Tallinn:

Aboard the fun bus was former Economy Minister Daniels Pavluts, now something of an advocate for start-ups and progressive business in Latvia:

According to Mareks Matisons, who appears to have taken the precaution of trademarking his own name ahead of the trip - maybe you can buy the rights to it? - the Latvians are definitely ready for two days of pitch, catch and networking:

You can follow all the action from Latitude 59 via this livestream (which works almost as well as a Latvian livestream).

Good luck to all pitchers - we hope you come back with a bus full of seed money!
