About 20 choirs and ensembles flocked to the annual Takarazuka choral event, competing in renaissance/baroque, romanticism, and contemporary choral music and were judged by a professional jury.
In addition to these categories, where Kamēr... sang pieces by Purcell, Bach, Brahms, Rehnqvist and others, the audience chose Kamēr... from amidst of 5 groups to become the audience prize too.
The critically acclaimed Kamēr... choir was founded in 1990 by Māris Sirmais. It's currently conducted by Jānis Liepiņš.
The choir has won dozens of diplomas, cups, and trophies in various choral competitions, including the Marktoberdorf chamber choir competition, and the World Choir Olympics.
