Following much star-spangled action Sunday night, four acts made it through to the semi-final stage, with six falling by the wayside.
Don't feel too bad - there's always next year!
The four potential superstars are: Justs (who has a very easy to spell name); Ivo Grīsniņš-Grīslis (who has a very hard to spell name); heavy metal combo Catalepsia (named after a medical condition resulting in muscular rigidity) and Marta Grigale an actress and broadcaster we have loved ever since we heard her reading a bedtime story on Latvian Radio.
Marta summed things up well in a Twitter reaction:
This is crazy. PALDIES!

The good news for Eurovisionophiles around the globe is that all of this year's Supernova show will be available to view after broacast at LSM's excellent Re!Play site.
You can watch the Feb 7 show HERE! It's more than 2 hours long so it's also a good opportunity to practice your Eurovision snack-nibbling skills.
True aficionados of Supernova will be delighted to learn that the mighty Riga Beaver - the rapping rodent who so endeared himself to audiences last year with his borderline psychotic impromptu performances during ad breaks - also put in an appearance.
Oh, and remember to use the hashtag #ltvsupernova
The next show is on February 14.
