The festival features 57 short films centered on the theme of "Wanderers", offering a look into trends of migration and cultural diversity.
Earlier the organizers told LTV that a total of 2170 films from a total of 92 countries applied to the festival, with organizers trying to reconcile originality with classical values in their selection.
The festival will run through October 2 and includes not only film screenings divided into focus groups but also discos, stand-ups, spoken word performances and more.
This year the festival features an Industry Day (Friday) with lectures to be held by movie experts on the promotional aspects of cinema.
