On Monday Latvia's Olympians showcased Latvia's apparel, to be used in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics, reported LSM's Latvian-language service.

The clothing was made by Polish OTCF and its F4 brand.

Appearing in Rīga, Olympians Anastasija Grigorjeva (freestyle wrestling), Gunta Latiševa-Čudare (sprint), and beach volley stars Aleksandrs Samoilovs and Jānis Šmēdiņš donned the classical colors of white and red, supplemented by elements in gray.

Every Olympic participant will receive clothing for the opening ceremony, for practice and everyday life.

Each package contains 30 pieces of clothing, five pairs of footwear and 18 accessories, including sunglasses, hats, bags, backpacks and more.

"I like the design and quality. I can't wait until this equipment will arrive," said Grigorjeva. "It looks modern and stylish," she told LSM.

The logo of the Latvian Olympic Team features the three stars of the Freedom Monument and a notice that says 'Latvia', and the team's visual identity also includes wickerwork illustrating the Olympians' enthusiasm and strength.

At the moment 14 Latvian athletes have qualified for participating in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, however qualification is still ongoing.
