Take note – story published 7 years ago

July 3 will see the first ever 'Baltic Day' taking place in Dublin, capital of Ireland.

The event which will see Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania join forces to showcase their cultures will take place fro 12:00 until 17:00 at the Farmleigh venue in Phoenix Park.

Music, dance, cuisine and crafts will all be showcased, with locals having the opportunity to have a go at Baltic folk dances themselves.

Latvians resident in Ireland, of which there are now a considerable number, will also be able to reconnect with their homeland with the Latvian embassy in Ireland suggesting that as many people as possible should dress in traditional folk costume.

Full details of the day can be found at a dedicated Facebook page HERE.
